Painting & mixed media

Inspired by the likes of urban art and concert posters from an early age, I’ve always been drawn to the surreal and whimsical. I tend to enjoy a blend of styles, methods and materials in my work - often pulling from my own photography and digital work - and mixing acrylic, aerosol, decoupage and coffee. Having had opportunity to show at group events curated by the amazing folks at Thumbprint Gallery in San Diego - I was connected with an amazing and supportive community of local artists, from whom I’ve learned a great deal.

I believe that the act of creating art (whether visual or otherwise) is essential to living a fuller and happier life - and that its ability to heal should be encourage. It’s for this reason that, in early 2016, I started a weekly art night at the co-creative salon Happenstance in San Diego. Called the ‘Lunar Tree House’, the program flourished for over a year, reawakening the artist within some beautiful souls. FB Group Photos
