Pink Ride @ Burning Man 2012
My friends with the Pink Heart Camp started sharing this video today; shot by Jake Tison and posted by John (Halcyon) Styn. As I watched this, I was immediately reminded of how magical this moment was… and that I was probably nuts to be wearing black pants and an aviator cap. You’ll notice that as the Pink Riders invade Center Camp, we encircled a few dancers – who were eventually brought to tears as they were overwhelmed with the beauty of the moment… and love. Let’s play a game of ‘Where’s Astro?” Can you find me?

The Samples – Water Rush
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr9O7rPlwUY&feature=plcp
A couple weeks ago, my mom came across a music video on YouTube. At the age of 13, I acted in this slightly disturbing 1994 video produced by W.A.R. Records in Boulder, Colorado (my hometown). In fact, we all had birthday cake on set – the pool where my character drowns. If I remember correctly, the song was written by then band drummer, Jeep, after he survived a near-drowning. The quality of the video isn’t great, but it was a blast reminiscing about the whole experience. Check it out!

Double Dutch by Moistrix
Check out this experimental, illustrative time-lapse created by a friend of mine, Hugo Fierro of Moistrix in San Diego. I’ll be keeping an eye on future works and do my best to share them with you all. Enjoy!
Obey The Giant
RSID film students have produced a short film called Obey The Giant, about the early days of Shepard Fairey while he attended art school. Currently on Kickstarter.com, the project has already gained more than 100% of the requested donation amount to finish post-production and pay for distribution, etc. This has clearly caught the attention of many interested fans – as well as the blessing of Shepard Fairey himself. Check it out and watch the video.
