The surreal work of SIT is rocking my world!

I first heard of Amsterdam-born artist Sit when i came across flyers for an curatorial exhibition called ‘Hybrid Thinking’ at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC earlier this year.  It wasn’t until just several days ago that I finally stumbled upon his website.  Unable to pull myself away until my eyes had soaked up every piece in his galleries, I found something of a kindred spirit in this guy – only he’s a much more talented artist than I am.  Working predominantly in black & white acrylics, Sit does an amazing job of focusing on subject and emotion, exploring the complex relationships between mankind, the animal kingdom, sex, morbidity, surrealism, modern technology, consumerism and humor.  His body of work from 2008 to present has taken my breath away and I’ll be following him very closely from now on.  Take a look at his galleries!
